Mitre peak is located at the bottom of te wai pounamu in fjord land national park.
It was named mitre peak because the mountains looked like a bishops hat or mitre.
There really are 5 mountains that look like one mountain all togther. Mitre peak
Rises out of the water and is 2000m tall. Many tourists visit Milford sound
On a boat every year.
